Radiant e-Quest (ReQ) is the leading provider of e-journals, e-books and e-database package solutions for all types of libraries and research organisations in India.
ReQ’s comprehensive solutions include proven systems to consolidate ordering, invoicing, claiming and renewals as well as assistance with licensing and registration requirements for our e-journal and e-package customers.
ReQ is headquartered in New Delhi but its 8 Regional Offices, located throughout India, serve customers in 28 states and 7 Union Territories and are staffed by information professionals who speak the local language and understand the particular challenges faced by librarians in their areas.

BACKGROUND
ReQ is part of the Allied Publishers Group. The flagship company within this group is Allied Publishers Private Limited. This company was established in 1934 by M. Graham Brash, the Company was acquired by the late Mr. R.N. Sachdev, founder Chairman of Allied Publishers Group in 1947. Under his able leadership did Allied Publishers Group start its journey of a thousand miles.
Allied Publishers Private Limited is a 50 crore rupees company having its presence felt throughout the country. Currently it handles publishing, marketing and selling of its own publications along with distribution of both Indian and Foreign publishers.
As the years went on the management at Allied Publishers, realised that research was gaining momentum in India and the government was allocating huge funds for research and development of the country. Research and academic institutions were being established and in order to satisfy the information needs of these institutions, large budgets were set up for procurement of print journals. Since order processing and monitoring supply of journals was quite a tedious job, we felt that there was a need for a professional subscription agent to handle the supply of these journals to institutions. In the light of this realisation, Allied Publishers Subscription Agency (APSA) was created in 1974. Since then APSA has grown from leaps and bounds and today it’s the largest academic subscription agent in India, with a turnover of more than 100 crore rupees.
Since the turn of the millenium there has been a revolution of sorts in research and academic institutions in India. Where previously print journals and print books were in demand, users have shown an interest in accessing the electronic version of these books and journals. There has been an electronic revolution in terms of content and use/access of this content. With these developments the management decided that even though Allied Publishers Group was marketing and selling e-books through Allied Publishers Private Limited and e-journals through Allied Publishers Subscription Agency, the need of the hour was to establish an entity which would exclusively handle e-books, e-journals and e-databases, collectively known as e-resources. This need led to the establishment of Radiant e-Quest, and the creation of our motto “The Quest for Information” which clearly defines our need which is our clients need to access updated and relevant information in the least possible time.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
 SUNIL SACHDEV
Mr. Sunil Sachdev was born on 26th August, 1948. Did his schooling from Delhi Public School in Delhi and therafter graduated from St. Stephen's College in Delhi. He joined the family business and rose to become the Managing Director of Allied Publishers Pvt. Ltd. He was also the Managing Director for 15 years of Allied Chambers India Ltd. Currently, he is a partner of Allied Publishers Subscription Agency as well as a Director of Radiant-e-Quest Ltd. Mr. Sunil Sachdev has been associated with the Company and the Book Trade for over 40 years. He has served the Book Industry at various levels including the Delhi State Booksellers & Publishers Association as well as the Federation of Publishers and Booksellers Association in India. He has been the past President of the Federation of Publishers and Booksellers
Association in India from 1982 to 1984 and then again from 1989 to 1990. He continues to be the Chairman of the Import Sub Committee of the Federation for more than 20 years and also chairs the Journals Subscription Sub Committee.
Mr. Sunil Sachdev received from the Delhi State Booksellers & Publishers Association the overall outstanding contribution to Trade Award in 1995. In 2002 he was presented the eminent Publishers Award by the International Business Council. The same year i.e. 2002 Mr. Sunil Sachdev was awarded the Kuldip Chandra Memorial Award which is also known as Life Time Achievement Award by Delhi State Booksellers & Publishers Association. In September 2003 Mr. Sunil Sachdev received the Life Time Achievement Award as instituted by the Federation of Publishers & Booksellers Associations in India. This is the highest award of the Indian Book Trade and it was presented by Shri Vijay Kapoor, Ltd. Governor of Delhi.'
 RAVI SACHDEV
Ravi Sachdev is Managing Director, Radiant e-Quest Ltd. He is also Director, Allied Publishers Pvt. Ltd. He joined this company in the year 1975. Since then he has been looking after the Publishing side of the business. The company is involved mainly in publishing of School text and Higher Academic books. He also looks after the production of all Allied books and oversees the operations of the Allied Publishers' Printing Division located at New Delhi. He is also a Partner in Allied Publishers Subscription Agency which is the largest Subscription Agent in India. Till 2009 he was also the MD of Allied Chambers India Ltd, a joint Venture with Chambers Harrap Publishers.
 ARJUN SACHDEV
Arjun Sachdev joined Allied Publishers Group (APG) under the supervision of his father, Mr. S.M. Sachdev, the then Managing Director as a teenager in 1998. He was in college pursuing his Bachelor of Commerce degree and worked part time. He then joined APG full time after completing his 18 month course in Family Managed Business (FMB) from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research.
Arjun is based out of Mumbai, and is handling sales and promotion of e-resources in Western India, along with overall management of Radiant e-Quest. Besides being a director in Radiant e-Quest, he is also a director in Allied Publishers Private Limited and a partner in Allied Publishers Subscription Agency.
